Pool History

Coldwater’s previous swimming pool was more than 50 years old and increasingly expensive to maintain. Aging pipes and the pool structure leaked significant amounts of water, and the facility lacked many modern features desired by residents.

In early 2012, the city distributed a survey seeking residents’ preferences for a new pool design and amenities within a set budget. Construction began after the survey was completed, and the new swimming pool officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in May 2013.
