Mayor

The Mayor is the only governing-body official elected at-large by the whole city. The Mayor presides over City Council meetings, serves as community spokesperson, facilitates communication among elected officials, participates in setting goals and policies, and represents the community.

With City Council approval, the Mayor appoints a city manager, municipal judge, vacant City Council seats, and advisory board members, and also makes proclamations and serves in intergovernmental relations.
